Wheel Coatings

Wheel coatings and curb rash repair in Marietta, OH

Deliver a new life for your wheels. Curb rash, scratches and gouges repaired by hand at 2nd and Greene, then sealed with ceramic.

Curb rash, scratches and gouges come out in four moves

A curb at the edge of a parking space leaves its mark on the lip of the wheel, and a rock gouge or a trailing scuff can sit on the face for months before anyone looks closely. At Iridescent, Ben starts every wheel the same way: a close inspection in the bay at 2nd and Greene to judge how deep the damage runs.

From there the repair follows a fixed order. Buff out the surface marks, sand the damaged area until the contour is smooth, lay down paint matched to the wheel's original color, then finish with a clear coat that seals the repair and brings the shine back. Each step has to be right before the next one starts, because paint laid over a rough spot shows the rough spot.

Scratches on the face and the outer rim are easy to miss while the paint gets all the attention. No prices are published for wheel work, so call Ben at (740) 525-0964 for a quote and he will tell you what your wheels need.

Bent wheels are not repaired here

If a wheel is bent, Iridescent does not repair it. A bent wheel is a structural problem, and making it look right does not change how it holds up on the road, so the answer is no, for safety.

When a wheel is past a cosmetic fix, the shop's advice is replacement, and Ben will guide you to the right one so you keep driving safely. A hard curb strike that leaves a flat spot or a shake at speed belongs in that conversation before any paint comes out.

Ceramic on the wheel face makes brake dust easier to wash off

Wheels sit right beside the brakes, and a ceramic wheel coating is made to take that heat. It is hydrophobic, so water and road grime run off instead of bonding to the face.

The coating also deepens the gloss and the richness of the color, and with less for brake dust to grip, a wash takes less effort. It is a separate step from the repair: fix the damage first, then seal the face. Ask about it when you call (740) 525-0964.
